John
F. Moreland
Chairman Emeritus

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1926,
John was saved in 1933 and
water baptized on his 7th birthday. He graduated from High School in Longview, Texas
in 1943. Served aboard
the Destroyer USS Wren in WW II. John attended East Texas Baptist College, Marshall, Texas
from 1946
to 1950 with a Voice major and Music Theory minor. John
was married in 1947 to Sue Shook, they have four children,
Tom, Steve, Jim and Susanne, and they have three
grand children. John and Sue were married for
over 57 years. John served churches in Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas as Minister
or Director of Music Education.
He pastored churches in California from 1956 to 1968.
John gathered a spiritual family in Great Falls, Montana
from 1975 to 1986, and also gave oversight to several congregations while there in Montana and Canada,
stretching as far as Mankato, Minnesota. John
served as Chairman of Northwest Ministries
from 1980 until 2005.
The Morelands moved to Midland, Texas in 1986 where
John pastored Petroplex Covenant Church. They
moved to Azle, Texas in 1986 where John served at Foundation Ministries
until January 2000. John's last residence
was in Euless, Texas, where he continued to travel
in ministry and help congregations, right up until
the time the Lord took John home, on March 15th,
2005. Along with being a capable minister of
God's Word, John wrote pertinent books, articles and
pamphlets, many of which can be seen on this web
site.

Joseph A. Fox

Born in 1947 and raised in Great Falls, Montana.
Joe married his wife Terry in 1970. They have a
son, Ron. Joe attended business classes at
Northern Montana College. He was employed for
13-years as a technician with Mountain Bell
Telephone, and for 1-year as a financial planner
with IDS/ American Express. Chairman of Northwest
Ministries, Joe served as administrator and
vice-chairman from 1980 until John Moreland’s
death in 2005. He pastored Great Falls Christian
Fellowship from 1979 to 1987, and gave oversight
to a number of congregations from Calgary, Canada
to Torrington, Wyoming from 1986 to 1991. Joe
served on the Ordination Board for World Ministry
Fellowship in the early 80s. He is now also
involved in civic organizations, owns Fox Fine
Jewelers, and pastors in Great Falls.

Robert Williams

Born in 1956 in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in
Great Falls Montana. Robert married his wife Janet
in 1974, and they have two children; Kristy and
John.. Robert served in the US Army from 1974 to
1977. He graduated from Northern Montana College in
1986, with an Associate of Science degree. He has
been employed with various local cable companies as
a technician, and has been a member of the Montana
Air National Guard since 1979. Robert was voted a
deacon in the local congregation in 1983. A member
of the Northwest Ministries Board of Directors since
1991, he serves as Secretary.

Herb Sand

Born in 1946 in Glasgow, Montana. Herb lives and operates the family farm that his father homesteaded in 1915.
Herb married Linda Crandell in 1969. He holds
a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University in Mathematics and General Science. Herb and Linda have four children; Kevin, Tova, Joshua, and Nathan.
Herb was saved and filled with the Holy Spirit during the Opheim revival in 1973.
He is presently serving on the Northern Electric Coop Board, Central Montana Power and Electric Coop Board, and
is President of the N. E. Montana Organic Crop Improvement Association.
He founded Maranatha Center of Opheim in 1981 and has pastored that fellowship to the present.

Jim
"JD" Mihlhauser

Jim was
born in Oklahoma City in 1941. He was saved and
water baptized in 1949. Jim graduated from high
school in Lindsay, Oklahoma in 1959. He attended
Oklahoma University on a football scholarship from
1959 to 1962. He received a Bachelor of Science
degree from East Central State University in
education in 1964. Jim received his Master of
Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from
Oklahoma State University in 1967. Jim married his
wife Clyda Adams in 1966. They have two daughters,
Andrea and Amy. Jim worked for the state of Texas in
a variety of positions from 1967 to 1996, retiring
as the Assistant Commissioner in the Texas
Rehabilitation Commission. During this time in
Houston, he was an elder and worked closely with
several home bible studies and pastored home
churches. He served on the Advisory Board for World
Ministry Fellowship from 1980 to 1985. He also
served on the Board for South Texas Ministries from
1985 to 1995. JD has recently been called to a
relational pastoral role with an Apostolic vision,
living in the Austin, Texas area. Jim has been a
Northwest Ministries board member since 2001, and
serves as vice-chairman.
